The Hermosa Beach Farmers Market is held downtown every Friday throughout the year even in the winter from noon to 4 p. Local farmers show up and show off their in-season fruits and vegetables, freshly-laid eggs, homemade yogurts and cheeses, and organic honey, among other items fresh from the farm.
If you're an avid surfer, Hermosa Beach isn't known for having the best waves along the California coast. It is, however, a popular spot for those who are just starting out and want to get a feel for the board.
